As with many of its policies, Amazon keeps its cards well-hidden as to their reasoning for this no-CBD rule. Some experts speculate that Amazon is concerned about the rapidly changing state legislation around CBD, as well as international law, which can be confusing at best. Others assume that Amazon doesn’t want to get tied up in cure-all claims appearing in individual listings. Still, others postulate that CBD won’t appear on Amazon until it’s promoted by Ellen, Dr. Phil, and Oprah.
Since the federal legalization of industrial hemp in late 2018, the CBD industry is exploding with growth, but the mammoth online seller isn’t one of the places you can buy CBD oil.
CBD, on the other hand, works synergistically with the body’s natural processes and the ECS (endocannabinoid system), a complex communication system for cells throughout the body.
Why Won’t Amazon Carry CBD?
According to Amazon’s online policy, “Listings for products containing cannabidiol (CBD) are prohibited, including but not limited to”:
The demand for CBD is sweeping the globe, but it’s one of the few things you can’t find on Amazon. Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, the cannabis extract is non-intoxicating and bears a broad range of health and wellness benefits.
You might be wondering if there’s really a difference between hemp and CBD, given that they both come from the same plant, cannabis Sativa. But then again, so does marijuana, and with its high levels of THC, there’s a world of difference between it and non-intoxicating CBD oil and hemp oil. Hemp oil is extracted from hemp seeds.
As a consumer, it makes you wonder… if these companies are lying about the content of their product, what else might they be hiding? How can you be sure the hemp products on Amazon are pure, organic, or free from contaminants, just because the company mentions it in their product listing?
Hemp seed oil has plenty of health benefits on its own. For example, it is rich in healthy fats and essential fatty acids, including Omega-3 and Omega-6 acids. It can also be a good source of protein. It contains high amounts of vitamin E, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, sulfur, calcium, iron, and zinc.
We have not ordered or tried any of the hemp oils for sale on Amazon, so we’re not saying that they don’t work or that they’re not any good. What we can say is that they don’t appear to be actual CBD oils.
Many of the CBD oils found on Amazon don’t contain any CBD at all.
So Are Amazon “Hemp Oils” Any Good?
The products are also very careful about not using other cannabis-related words like ‘THC,’ ‘cannabinoids,’ ‘medicine,’ ‘therapy,’ and so on.
If you go to the Amazon website and search for ‘CBD oil,’ you’ll get thousands of results. Many of these products are advertised as “hemp oil supplements.” However, upon further investigation, you’ll notice none of them mention anything about CBD.
The benefits of hemp seed oil…
CBD oil–that is to say real, quality CBD oil–is an amazing therapy that’s possibly helped thousands of people. We don’t want anyone to get a bad impression after buying a hemp oil that doesn’t have any CBD in it.
One to two CBD softgels 25 mg is enough for an entire day. Take the softgels with a refreshing glass of water or your beverage of choice to start experiencing its full impact and wellness benefits.
Though there are many types of CBD oil Amazon, making sure they are true and made with high-grade hemp extracts can be tricky. Many resellers go under the radar by hiding their true ingredients under technicalities.
